Wehlen is home to the S.A. Prum estate. 
The Prum family is one of the oldest winemaking families in the world. Vineyard holding dating back to 1156.

 

The grapes of dried raisined berries are effected by botrytis are hand picked. Two days of maceration then placed in balloon presses and fermented. 
Producing an Amber color with exploding intensity of glazed apricots, butterscotch, saffron and honey. The finish is deep rich flavors with lemon lime hints.
Truly one of lifes secret pleasures. You need to try this wine sometime in your lifetime!
