At the yearly Medoc Marathon in the Bordeaux region of France, limited to 8500 participants, runners compete for prizes, all while passing through great Chateau where food and wine are served to all who care not to be the first to cross the finish line. Entry fee is 90 euros ($106 U.S.) and runners are allowed 6:30 to complete the course. Those who take the event more serious, the fastest male and female to cross the finish line first are awarded their weight in Medoc wine.
