“SCREAMING EAGLE” CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2011….For SCREAMING LIONS FANS

I was looking for a good excuse to pour this wine, and found one!

I figured we better pull the very best out for this game…  Sure we could of brought out a Chateau Lafite Rothschild or maybe a Domaine de la Romanee Conti. But we need to keep this all American.
Now Super Bowl… Different story, all the Top Guns come out.
Enjoy the game Go Lions!!!!

There’s  something to be said about grapes from Oakville. The wine produced from this region is one of my all time favorites. You can expect Big Bold, Richness of dark fruit like black cherries, black current, smooth and bold tannins. Besides Screaming Eagle their are other great wines from Oakville. Such as, Opus One, Far Niente, and others. This area is iconic for many of the most sought after wines.
But then its the magic of the wine makers to instill their special and personal touch.
Tasting these wines is one of the reasons life is Good !

WE DECIDED TO PULL THIS OUT OF THE CELLAR

2011 SCREAMING EAGLE

Would you like to taste with us….. in the future ?
We’ll be the judge of this super hyped killer wine.
The wine is not 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, Its a small blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. It’s the same the French do to punch the wine on certain vintages.
We found this mind blowing exhibiting super dense ruby/purple in color. On the palate came a dense rich licorice, black current, blackberry,  dark fruit, espresso, toasted oak, chocolate with mild hints of oaky spice and tobacco.
We could go on for ever. But the wine is just to good not to finish this bottle.
Till next time, stay tuned
Keep it simple and enjoy good wine !
