Krug Brut Rose Champagne

When it comes to Champagne, the list of high end producers reads like a history book. Dom Perignon, Christal, Salon, Billecart-Salmon, and Pol Roger Sir Winston Churchill to name but a few. Though opinions vary and everyone expresses their loyal favorite, my personal choice to pop on New Year’s Eve or any other special occasion for that matter is a Krug Rose. It’s salmon color in the flute reveals gingerbread, dried fig, tangerine, strawberry and Mandarin orange fruit, with hints of honey, coffee and floral notes. It’s bright nuttiness and elegant spice give way to the seemingly everlasting delicate bubbles that end with a seductive long finish. A blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier fruit, it’s hard to imagine a more perfect bubbly. Give it a try, and if by chance you don’t like it, pass it along to me. I’ll be more than happy to finish it for you.Krug Rose Champagne
