2015 Jeff Cohn “The Impostor”

Like a maestro conducting a symphony orchestra, who takes every note in the musical scale (A,G,B,D,F) and blends them into a work of art, the same can be said for wine blend master Jeff Cohn. Yet, his notes are of the grape varietal expression (Z,S,PS,G,M,V), which he has been transformed into one harmonious blend known as The Impostor. Consisting of 46% Zinfandel, 35% Syrah, 10% Petite Sirah, 6% Grenache, 3% Mourvedre and 1% Viognier, juicy black plum, black cherry and blackberry fruit dance across the palate. Concentrated black tea, high % dark chocolate and cracked pepper sing in harmony with the jammy fruit, producing one big bold expressive wine. A perfect food match for everything from burgers and pizza to grilled steak or lamb, from its spice induced nose to its long explosive finale finish, The Impostor is nowhere near a fraud, it’s the Real Deal.
